I Want to Cry

For the stupidity of the people that live in this state. Here we are with one of the highest unemployment rates in the nation and yet they still voted in tax increases. Is it so hard to understand basic economics? Why does a government worker have more of a right to keep his job than someone in the private sector? Learn to live within your means and the bounds of your income, just like the rest of us.

At least I have this to laugh at.

During a 5th Sunday discussion about living within your means our Bishop stood up and said that he would have a hard time writing a check for someone that needed help with bills if they still had cable and highspeed internet and fancy cars. I almost got up and "amen brother-ed" him :)

Please tell me that's not your van and you didn't use your Crickut to make vinyl car stickers... Please, nooooooooooo........ If so, I might have a legitimate claim that you are on the road to scrapbooking... ;)

Hey, you should make some of those vinyl people for the back of your van. Only make sure you put both your cats, your beloved camera, and several other things so that people know important details about your life so they can look you up and break into your house... (Seriously, I saw someone that had that and thought, 'can you be any stupider? might as well send an invitation to thieves.)

And I was beginning to think that maybe I was the problem voting NO on 66 & 67. We made national headlines on Fox News this morning. Ugh. How 'bout the simple fact that business owners pay taxes up the yin yang already not to mention all the payroll taxes for their employees (who also pay those taxes). There goes ANY motivation for business owners to treat their employees well. In fact, they may have to fire them...oh, and whatdaya know...we're back to the good ol' unemployment issue. And while I'm at it, let me just say, as a former teacher, tax raises do NOTHING for the CLASSROOMS whatsoever, which is WHERE the money needs to go. It doesn't help education at all. Maybe the administrators get it, but the educators do not. At least there's the glimmer of hope from the MA senator-race surprise!
