Laundry

Loofa may have his moments (including sneaking brownie when he didn't eat his dinner), but he can still be a good helper. He helped me put away his laundry today just so he could spend time with me. Some days it seems like it is just one thing after the other, but I love him and know he loves me and that really helps carry me through. I just hope he doesn't end up hating me with how much he gets yelled at.

Admittedly the poor boy probably needs more sleep. He's been falling asleep in the car lately, something he never did as a baby:

Baby Food

Since Fefe started crawling we've had problems with her eating cat food. If we say no no, etc she usually stops for a bit or moves away, but then she is right back at it a few minutes later. J suggested putting a bowl of cheerios right next to the catfood to see which she preferred. She instantly went for the cheerios and was having a great time stuffing it in her mouth. However, about 2 minutes into this she grabbed a handful of catfood and stuffed it right in with the cheerios. On the plus side, she is not a picky eater :)

Here she is chewing on a shopping cart, got to build up that immunity somehow:

Let the Summer Begin

I was pretty sick last week, but I recovered in time to do some heavy duty work on our new laminate floors. I'll post pics once the finishing touches are done. We are aiming for new carpet sometime this summer, but I would like to wait till Fefe isn't constantly spitting up. J has been working on putting in a deck as well. The weather is finally cooperating so it might actually get done sooner rather than later.

Ephant finished up tennis lessons today. Brother B will be done next week. It is amazing to see how much they have improved this year. A couple summers ago they could barely hit the ball. Now they are picking up some skill. Same goes for swimming lessons. I think they might actually pass level 3 soon. Loofa isn't progressing too fast. He loves his lessons, but he will not dunk his head. The head rec guy said that if you have them shower they will have an easier time dunking their head so I've implemented that with Loofa today.

Fefe is really enjoying crawling around outside. She is my first baby to not mind crawling in the grass. In fact she gets really mad at me when I won't put her down. For all that though she is still not pulling up. I probably spend too much time down on the floor with her.

Father's day was fun. Ephant and Brother B had both made presents at school and Loofa gave him a box of Mike & Ikes. I bought him a massage chair insert. It has been a big hit with the kids of course :)

Every Now and Then

Fefe turns into a dog. She likes to hold stuff in her mouth while she crawls around. This is a small piece of the underlayment for the laminate floors we are putting in. What a silly nut.

J took this picture the other day, it turned out pretty cute.

Acrobatics Recital

Ephant and Brother B had their dance recital a couple weeks ago. I've been negligent in my blog posting since then because I've been getting so frustrated trying to upload this video. I don't know what the problem is. I'm guessing blogger just has issues. It finally worked though so here it is. Brother B is easy to pick out since he is the only boy. I tried to focus on them. Ephant is about the shortest in the class too.

Happenings

My body has been itching all over for about a week. I've been trying fragrance free soap and that isn't working. Last night I realized that I just changed my fabric softener so I'm rewashing my bedding right now. Hopefully that will help. It hasn't been terrible, but it is annoying.

Brother B got sick yesterday, just in time to miss his trip to the zoo. It is pretty crummy weather today though so maybe it isn't so bad. I told him we would go as a family once he is feeling better. We need to get to OMSI too.

School is almost out, one more week. I have the kids signed up to take a bunch of small classes through the rec program. We have soccer, art, rock climbing and cooking. We'll probably do one swim session too.

Ephant and Brother B have their dance recital this Saturday. They both took acrobatics together this year. It is nice because it is in town, but they really want to do full on gymnastics. I think Brother B could be really good at that. It is interesting how early you can tell what sorts of apptitudes your children have.

Yesterday I had a fun time replacing part of my toilets innards. I'm glad that sort of thing doesn't intimidate me. It is a tad gross though, especially when you reveal parts you can't reach during ordinary cleaning :) I bought new toilet seats for all the toilets too. Word to the wise, do not use bleach on molded wood toilet seats, it turns them yellow.

Why is it that kids have such a hard time eating from the corner of the bread. This is the aftermath of cinnamon toast:

Crawling

I'm about a week late in putting this up. Little Fefe is now an expert crawler. Thus begins the discipline.
