Can you tell...

...what this is in Fefe's mouth? I'll not hold you in suspense, its a nerf dart. I know what you were thinking though.

After awhile, she decided to trade out for something new:

Guess what we found in our yard?

Another Senseless Baby Picture

My Baby

One year ago we had a special delivery! Fefe had a low key birthday since she really could have cared less.

Our day started out with waffles, one of her favorites:

Birthday cake was actually chocolate chip cookie bars:

The usual mess:

The haul: the boat toys for the bath were definitely her favorite. She also loves her ball Grandma gave her on our trip and the balls Aunt Marv sent her:

We enjoy every minute with our little sweetie pie. She's starting to really perform for us when we laugh at something she does. Now if we could just get her to walk. No rush though, she's still my baby.

It Fits!

Loofa has been enjoying trying on Fefe's clothes lately. He's excited they fit, but doesn't realize that isn't the only criteria.

Trips are Tiring

Mount Sawtell

About 4 years back we made a video on the top of Sawtell with various fake cliff falls. Loofa couldn't stop asking when we were going up to the tall mountain and fall off the cliffs. We finally went up the last day of our trip.

Jellystone

Our first day trip to Yellowstone started out promising, but then went downhill. I took a wrong turn after the Norris Geyser basin, which added a good hour and half to our day and then the road to the Upper and Lower Falls was closed. The kids were pretty disappointed about that, but the next day was much better. That day we saw Old Faithful (while eating delicious bologna sandwiches and cheetos), the Paint Pots and swam in the Firehole river (which I have many bruises to show for).

Mack's Inn

As if our vacation wasn't jammed packed enough, we headed up to Mack's Inn, ID for fun at the family cabin. Mack's Inn is about 20 minutes from Yellowstone so I'll have a post on our visit there as well.

Nova is the new cabin cat. Yes, that squirrel is dead:

Grandma's Window

Grandma Morgan wanted a pic of the kids in her front window. This is the best one we have. Brother B seems to not like smiling in pictures anymore.

Tradition

No trip to Utah would be complete without a trip to the Gateway Center. After soaking the kids, J's parents treated us to dinner at The Blue Iguana. I'd heard of that restaurant before and was glad to finally have a chance to go. It was delicious and I even stepped out of my comfort zone and had the poblana sauce instead of red with my enchiladas.

My Limited Career

After the Homecoming we spent the next couple of days with J's parents. I put together a new computer for them to pull them out of the dark ages. Sadly, the dark ages was only about 5 years ago. It came with the usual headaches, but the end result was very satisifying. So, be warned Morgan children, anyone that messes with that computer will have to deal with me :)

The Homecoming

The main reason for our trip to Utah was to welcome back my brother from his 2 year mission to LA. It was very exciting to see him again. We took him to Iron Man 15 minutes after he was released. Nothing quite like total immersion. On Sunday we took some family pics.

Kid Induced Acrophobia

I wasn't scared of heights till I had kids. Now I'm terrified of them falling off of cliffs. That being said, hiking up to Timp Caves was probably not very wise. The trail was about as thin as you can get with high cliffs along most of the way. To compound all this I read too much news and was very much aware of the recent injuries and deaths along this trail. Arrgh. We did get some good pics :) We only made it about halfway before turning back around. Maybe we'll attempt it again when they are teenagers and I want them to fall.
